Inside a Savile Row Window: The Making of Knatchbull’s Chelsea Flower Show Installation

On Savile Row, the window is never just a window. It is an introduction. A first impression.

This May, in celebration of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the storefront at 32 Savile Row becomes something more - an installation that unfolds in full view, shaped gradually between the pavement and the atelier.

Savile Row, Seen From the Street

Savile Row is defined by craft - it is a street built on both discretion and display. At Knatchbull, as the first and only dedicated womenswear space on Savile Row, that dialogue takes on a new form. Tailoring for women in London is brought to the forefront - not just inside the atelier, but through the window itself. To mark the Chelsea Flower Show, the Knatchbull boutique transforms.

Behind the Scenes: Making in Plain Sight

At its core, the installation reflects two parallel disciplines. Floristry shapes something living, temporary, and fluid. Tailoring shapes structure, permanence, and form. Both rely on balance, proportion, and a deep understanding of material. Within the window, these worlds meet. Garments sit within a living landscape - defining a new expression of womenswear on Savile Row.

An Invitation to Step Inside

For one week only, the installation can be experienced in person at 32 Savile Row. To mark the occasion, enjoy complimentary flowers with every purchase (while they remain) plus complimentary alterations on all ready-to-wear tailoring.

Whether discovering Savile Row for the first time or returning during the Chelsea Flower Show, this is an opportunity to experience tailoring for women in London from a new perspective.
